As a full service engineering firm, RWC
considers each project on an individual
basis, providing expert technical services
while meeting deadlines and staying

RWC's design team provided Civil & Structural services for
this project. The determination was made that this 15-million
gallon reservoir could be repaired for half the cost of replacement.
Procedures were developed for controlled demolition sequencing
to protect against concrete explosion due to locked-in stress
levels. Additionally, a unique grid system of beams was developed
to withstand increased burdens on the foundation system created
when the reservoir was buried to prong its working life.
Each project is analyzed for value engineering, cost control and energy conservation. Services include feasibility studies, systems analysis, cost comparisons and design development--followed by engineering, calculations, drawings, and specifications and construction obvservation.
RWC civil engineering services include: Site Development, Subdivision Platting, Street and Utilities, Water and Sanitation, Treatment Facilities and Drainage-Flood Control.

RWC's philiosophy is to have principals
in hands-on positions directing each
project, using their extensive experience,
knowledge, and imagination on a project
from start to finish. The firm has the
man power to quickly produce contract
documents and offers the flexibility to
design and estimate costs of many
different systems. All key staff have experience with construction, as well as conventional bid design work.

Flood control constraints of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, as well as EPA concerns about disturbing the Sand Hill Crane's nesting grounds, were some of the design issues that were addressed for this 5-span Scottsbluff County Bridge over the North Platte River.
This project represents prime civil design and construction administration as a showcase example of how artificial turf benefits high school playing fields as well as the community by keeping costs down and maintenance low. The decision to go from natural to artificial turf allows for continuous play and specifies exact benefits the students can enjoy due to the accelerated drainage and state of the art improvements from the artificial turf system.
This 16-acre site in downtown Denver required extensive initial
design survey for boundary, topography and existing utilities,
buildings, and streets, bid packages for utility demolition and
relocation, and design development for site paving, parking,
walkways, construction traffic control plans and drainage
improvements. Drainage requirements included rooftop detention
with controlled outflows to a parkway/detention pond. A unique
underdrain system was provided for protection against ground
water at the lower level. Construction observation and
administration was also provided, as well as extensive
coordination with all other consultants.
Civil and structural services provided for the addition and
renovation of this building, incorporating a large, single-story administration center and two education wings. Design included the use of long
span wood trusses with metal stud support walls. Site civil engineering required careful modification of an existing detention pond, and improvements to provide adequate drainage with corresponding storm sewer and grading on an already very
flat site. Additionally, parking, a loop road, and coordination with landscaping were designed to minimize disturbance to operating functions during construction.
